Slimming World during the Easter period was a nightmare. Admittedly though, it was all my fault! I had a really bad weekend.
Chocolate Truffles are evil
It all started off with one little piece of chocolate truffle. Which, as we all know, leads into dangerous territory. You either step back and leave it at that or you just binge. I chose to binge and I felt awful. I had cheated myself of all the weight I could have lost. Knowing that I had already cheated myself once and I was at a syn count of 30 out of 20, I thought ‘screw it’, I’m going out.
Screw it – It got worse
So, I went out with a couple of friends and had a big mixed grill and then topped it off with about 4 pints of lager and a cheesy garlic bread from the Kebab shop on the way back home. Needless to say, I had stopped counting syns for that Saturday.
Easter Sunday on Slimming World
Easter Sunday came around and chocolate was everywhere. Can I get a show of hands to find out how many people think I went back on plan? Anybody? No…? Well, you’re all correct. Slimming World and syns did not get counted at all on Easter Sunday. I ate chocolate, I ate a roast dinner with the family and I had a cheeky pint – just the one this time though!
Slimming World Results for week 2
This may come as a shock. I definitely shocked myself here but I’ve got to say I’m extremely happy with the result. I lost 1lb. Bringing my total lost to 4.5lbs in 2 weeks. Some might say it’s not a great result but I’m actually happier with this weeks’ than I was with the first week at 3.5lbs. Why? Because it means I’m not losing weight too quickly and losing muscle mass.
So I had a really bad weekend and I still lost 1lb. Honestly, it’s probably the best thing that could have happened because I’m even more motivated to push hard this week and crush it. I’m going to aim for 2lbs, I’m going to stick to the plan and keep those syns down to a minimum of 5-10 syns per day. It won’t be easy, but I’m sure, next Wednesday night I’ll be praising myself for crushing my goals.
